Oh yeah, too, last night I saw the last part of a discovery channel special about hunting the Florida Feral Hogs,,,,,, by Hand They used dogs to get'um cornered then they grabbed 'um by the hind legs and Hung on for dear life. Oh Yeah, , naw, I'll save it for later. :o  :) |

GMAN, awesome stuff. You should make a kit, "Canoe Prow Figure, now only 50 parts. Some assembly required." Sell the kit dirt cheap, but assembly instructions will cost ya! |

Yep JohnnyP, that's G$ awrite... Lake Okeechobee just outside the Dupuis Reserve in 03'. Notice that his respect for the primitive included strapping whole logs to make a canoe! This was pre-chainsaw period for the G-ster. ps. I wonder whatever happened to his Guide? I heard a gator got'em?? CHOMP! |

Hey Johnny and TJ! Ya know....that is actually very close to how we do it. I think that log raft might be a step up from the BOILER MAKER - she's a bit rough  I am rigging lines and tips for the hunt right now. I've got 4 CITES tags and some new toys......should make for some interesting (and hair raising) nights in the swamp! -G$ |

Hey there PCT. I know I've been neglecting my woodwork, my bad. I've been up against it at work...and you know, you are only as good as your last project. My full focus has recently been on work projects and getting ready for the Annual Lizard Dance. It has been so hot here that I really can't do too much carving anyway. The Summer and Fall are not usually big carving times for me anyway as all of my spare time is spent working on my hunting land and preparing for the various seasons. Maintaining the land takes a lot of time and effort and add in all the travel on top of that and you have one seriously wrecked Gman. I probaly won't do much on the Bow Rider until at least late Fall. I might sneak a few days in here or there, but they will be far and few between. I'm pretty much busy up until Christmas. -G |

Hey Seeks. I was wunnering where you was.....now I know :) I'll be carving soon. Bean busy, very busy. Between looking at new towns/states to move to, new jobs for momma, going to see farms/ranches to move to, and still taking time to play with the local wildlife (and do my day job)......it has bean a bit bizzy 'round here. The bow rider has been set aside for a while but I'll gets back to him soon. Unfortunately I felt a little coolness in the air this morning....and that means it is time for me to get back to tracking hogs, deer and turkeys  Am I that old, or are the seasons passing this quickly? Aack! -G |
