Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

used guava juice instead: Navy Grog.

a Hundred Dollar Navy Grog actually, utilizing Rhum Clement VSOP, Appleton Estate Extra 12 y.o., Lemon Hart 151, St Elizabeth's Allspice Dram (yay Austrian flag Day), Key west lime juice, Mexican guava nectar, the finest tap water in all of South Tampa, and pure clover honey!

Martini. olives.

It's Halloween weekend and that means I'll be enjoying a VooDoo Priestess or two!

W

Oh, I like the VooDoo Priestess!

It was a brisk fall day here spent cleaning up the yard. I'm having a Bourbon Special with Bulleit Rye and Taylor's Velvet Falernum. Mighty tasty.

That sounds delicious, though sadly I only have a bottle of Old Overholt left (which, while very good, especially for the price, is no Bulleit Rye).

having a $100 navy grog here.

Just made my first "Satan's Whiskers". Not particularly "tiki" but I figured anything with that much orange bitters had to be good. I was right! Fantastic with Martin Miller's gin and Dolin vermouths.

'Ti Punch. (Martinican for daiquiri)

I'm thinking we can do some good things with that Old Overholt. Come on over!

Gilligan's Island-

3 oz OJ
3 oz Cranberry juice
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Peach Schnapps

Off for a 3 hour tour...

sounds like a diluted Sex on the Beach.

what am I drinking right now?

Pumpkin ale, of course.

Park Avenue Cocktail

2 oz gin (I used Martin Miller's)
3/4 oz. pineapple juice
3/4 oz. sweet vermouth (I used Dolin)
2 tsp orange curacao

Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.

Yummy!

Last night's libations

Essentially a Painkiller with spiced rum and a bit of pumpkin puree. I made 2 gallons of it and each serving goes into a hallowed out pumpkin with eyeball garnish. The eyeballs are lychee fruits with strawberry jam and blueberries.

LOL! I was going to resize pic but I like the effect!

W

Cuba Libre

Sierra mist cranberry splash 3oz
Cruzan vanilla rum 1.5 oz

And another
And another

S

Cupcake Vodka!!

**Just kidding -- but I think this is a sure sign the apocalypse is on the way!

Viequense

Rum 2 oz
Amaretto 1 oz
OJ 2 oz
Coco Lopez 2 oz

W

Blue Hawaii, the original as listed in Beachbum's and using Russian Standard vodka since they sell that here. Never been into vodka before, but its authentic Russian so I gave it go. Nice and smooth. Mixed well too.

Then we all did shots of Johnny Walker Blue Label out of 'Pimp City' glasses because a classy drink calls for classy glasses.

The rest is a blur.

Suffering Bastard. world war I Brits in cairo style.

W

Royal Hawaiian for my lovely wife. Old Fashioned for myself.

Cheers!

Spousal unit, Mother-in-law, family friend and Tom are all enjoying simplified Zombies using B.G. Reynolds' Don's Mix... all of life's major perturbations are now but a small ripple!

1/2oz brandy
1 1/2oz lt rum

A bottle of Tanduay 1854 15 year aged rum at a bar on the Subic Bay waterfront. I highly recommend it, this stuff is amazing.

what do you have for polutan?

Courvoisier VSOP Sidecar

Donga-esque Punch. I didn't have any limes, it really needs that bright kick to it.

Sierra mist cranberry splash and coruba coconut rum...

Pub and Prow hot buttered rum -- recipe from my Tiki+ iPhone app. I think I'll replace the creme de cacao with TV's mac nut liqueur for the next round :)

T

Appleton 12 is my favorite Appleton!

Still got grapefruit juice and cinnamon syrup, picked up some fresh limes so I made another Donga-esque Punch. This time I left out the rum! :o I'm watching my 2 year old grandson tonight, if I have one drink he'll be smarter than me!

G

Made bum barrels for my birthday last night. Had a suffering bastard at Castaways in Manitou Springs tonight - it was decent but came in a plastic parrot mug. Meh.

gabbahey

Papeete treasure
1 oz lemon
1 1/2 oz OJ
1 1/2 oz pineapple
1 oz orgeat
1 oz green cream de menthe
1 1/2 oz lt rum

A classic Mai Tai - Appleton V/X, fresh lime juice and all the rest, served in an Old Fashioned glass. I forgot how tasty these things are.

G

Navy grog. When we can finally get white grapefruit around here again, I am going to freeze a bunch of fresh squeezed because this canned from concentrate is just not cutting it.

gabbahey

Dark N Stormy.

had to settle on Goya "Jamaican-Style" ginger beer-- man, it's super spicy!

you can guess the rum if you've been a regular round here of late...

Innisfree Mule, (aka Thornton v. Dannaher):

4 oz ginger beer
2 and 2/3 oz Powers Gold
1 and 1/3 oz lime juice
2 t sugar.

Well, after my free-for-all at John O's Tiki Crawl a couple of weeks ago and ONE Shaka Hula Bossa Nova at the Tonga Hut the next day, I've been on the wagon . . . but that all ended tonight and I'm enjoying a Donn Beach Zombie by way of Mr. Spievak with brown sugar . . . mighty tasty . . . old label LH151 too! I'm baaaaack!
