Just finished a very tasty Mai Tai with Cruzan and Coruba and think I need another....

Rum Babalu and a Longboard at Tommy Bahamas, Palm Desert. Back to our hoel room for Daiquiri’s. Used Papa’s Pilar blonde Rum. Tasted a bit off. Mo Betta with Havana Club.

Since I'd picked up some more falernum over the weekend, tonight I decided it was time to try a Porpoise Constitution:

Not too shabby.

Steven Crane's Rum Barrel. The only thing I'm missing is the ceramic barrel, but it's plenty good without it. The almond extract is a nice touch.

Hang10, those all look ace but that Whisky Jam Sour sounds absolutely amazing. The recipe is on the Monkey Shoulder site - I HAVE to try this:

2 Part Monkey shoulder
¼ Part Sugar syrup
2 Tsp Jam
¾ Part Fresh lemon juice
Optional Soda water
Dash Orange Bitters

Add all ingredients to shaker
Add fresh ice and shake it like a legend
Strain into ice filled glass
Top up with soda water if you fancy

The Below Decks Mai Tai!

HopeChest- it was very good
Nice detective work

Rum, Gum, and Lime thing.

But, oh, an Allspice Rum Fashioned sure sounds like a good thing.

Honey, I shrank the Porpoise Constitution.

This is just as tasty as I imagined; glad we finally got around to trying it.

Bam- :)

I have no idea what this is or what to call it but it is DELICIOUS:

1 oz. El Dorado 5 Year
1 oz. Appleton Estate Signature
0.75 oz. Lemon Juice
1 oz. Pineapple Juice
2 oz. Orange Juice
0.33 oz. Falernum
0.25 oz. Allspice Dram
0.25 oz. Vanilla Syrup

Note: I know how annoying the 0.33 oz. measure of falernum is but 0.5 oz. just made the spice too prominent, whereas the slightly smaller ratio just gave it a nice, suggestive hint of something. It's improved with Meyer lemon juice but great with regular. A half ounce float of Plantation Dark Overproof (the Trinidad & Tobago stuff, not the OFTD) is a really nice addition, though it tends to exaggerate the quality of your OJ.

Added a cup of Agua de Jamaica to my regular recipe for Sangria. Delish!

Mai Tai with blood orange instead of lime.

Cochon (New Orleans) Hurricane!

My wife and I enjoyed Zombies and Hemingway’s Ghost’s at Hatch (Tustin,Calif.). The ghost is a Daiquiri made with Papa’s Pilar Rum and a dash of cinnamon syrup.

Ha! The umbrella blown inside out for a hurricane... great touch. I miss Cochon. Need to take a NOLA trip pronto.

Lots of champagne cocktails to celebrate Easter: French 75, St-Germain Cocktail, Robert Hess' Champagne Antoine, just to name a few. Now I'm sipping a B&B. Happy Easter!
