Steal me a menu please...

Kudos to Mr. Cate for conjuring the Undead Gentleman. Hands down my favorite cocktail of the tiki revival.

Test Pilot

El Dorado 12 year, Snug Harbor falernum, & El Guapo Polynesian Kiss bitters in one of our new itty bitty Trader Vic's mini Mai Tai Glasses. Yum!

(it'd take about 100 of these to fill Swiz's killer Tangata Manu mug!)

Stopped at 333 (lounge) in Newport Beach.Had some bar food and a couple of very good Old Fashions.
My wife had a so so Mai Tai and a superb cold coffee cocktail. When we got home I made a pretty good new drink for us that my wife named a Vanilla Mocha Kiss Cocktail

Vanilla Mocha Kiss Cocktail

6 oz strong cold coffee
4 oz kalua Midnight
2 oz Stoli Vanil

Shake with 3-4 ice cubes
Pour into a martini glass to within !/8 “ top of glass
Top with unsweetened muddled fresh cream
Makes two drinks-perfect for Valentine’s Day

Been wanting to make a drink using Lychee Syrup for some time now. Lychee Fruit are out of season so I tried the Monin brand.I tried the first coupLe using six ounces of Clement Rum, 2 ounces of syrup and a half ounce of lime juice.Too sweet for my wife and I. I settled on two ounces of gin, four of rum ,and half an ounce of lime juice.Nice tasty drink which will only improve with the homemade syrup I plan on using come summer. Sorry bout the low quality pic.
Cheers

Mai Tai’s made with Zaya, Plantation 5 yr. old,DeKupyer Curacao, and St, Vincent Orgeat. First time that I’ve tried the St. Vincent’s I usually use Alchemist Orgeat. If I had to describe this M. T. I would say that all the classic flavors are there, only “softer” My next one will use the Plantation Pineapple Original Dark instead of the 5 yr. old
Cheers

Made a couple of Last Words with, unfortunately, the last of my V E P (Vieillissement exceptionnellement Prolonge Charttreux).Inho, one of the best cocktails ever. Btw, I had about a half ounce left in the bottle. It’s very good straight, with an exceptional nose when served in a warm snifter.
Cheers

New mug, new cocktail! The Humuhumunukunukuapua'a.

A TV Navy Grog

Haitian Gentleman with Barbancourt 5 Star. I liked it so much I fixed a second. :)

Ocho Rios from the New York Bartender's Guide. Looked promising, but I am underwhelmed.

Funny, I’m using the recipe from the Smuggler’s Cove book, but I’m liking it much more now than I remember when I had it at SC last August....

Queen’s Road

Hispanola, made with Railean white rum The Wife gifted me for Valentine's Day. It's kinda overwhelmed by the Barbancourt and ginger syrup. Will find other cocktails it's better suited for.

QB Cooler

I had one of those earlier, Hamo! What do they say, "Great minds drink alike?"

Coatimundi, another jackfruit-infused rum cocktail recipe I came up with all by my own self.

Wahine won a “G”

Congats Jon, I’’ll drink a Ramos Fizz to that.

Voodoo Grog from Potions of the Caribbean. My first cocktail incorporating egg whites. Something of a milestone, I suppose!

It was my first QB Cooler, and I enjoyed it. I can see the similarities between it and the Mai Tai, but Vic’s genius really shows through in the simplicity of his formulation.

Dude! It was my first one as well! What are the odds?

Luv dem Mai Tai’s
