Tried my hand at making the Myrtle Beach Punch from Beachbum Berry's "Total Tiki" app last night.

Thought it was very nice tasting with a surprising complexity for such a simple drink.

Merchant’s Reserve Mai Tai. This is very good

My first taste of the Hamo Blamo, having conjured up the recipe five months ago.

Not too shabby! Just goes to show why the old punch ratio works so well. The smokiness of the LH and Lost Spirits play well together, and the club soda adds to the bite of the ginger syrup. I might try a few tweaks (but not tonight; I have to work tomorrow...).

Made this Painkiller the other night.
I used 2 oz Coruba, 1/2 oz OFTD, and a 1/4 oz allspice.
The added spice from the OFTD and allspice was really nice with the coconut.

Ha - I almost just had a Belching Beaver PB; but went with a BJ's porter instead.

Now at home enjoying a Corn 'n'Oil with almost-the-last of our Snug Harbor Falernum. Must Get More.
Thanks again for the tip on that, Hang 10!

Mahalo, Hamo!
We’ve actually been into tiki since our mid 20s.
I’m 2 years older than her, so my 30th was spent in NOLA and Latitude 29 and Tiki Tolteca.
My 32nd, in a little less than 3 weeks, will be spent at the Mai Kai. I’m way stoked for that.

Ive got Mai Kai swizzles, but I thought the Jolly Roger was more appropriate.

Leftover pineapple juice since the Mai Tai (see above) only needed an ounce. Poured it right into the mug, and topped it off with hefeweizen beer for a tasty shandy/radler.
