If you figured it out yesterday I had one too many bamboo poles at the bottom. I have now removed one and worked on adding leaves.
Next I worked on the nets for the floats.

I like that emoji hang 10tiki. Another Tiki Bob mug is done and another, the Poka dot one, started.

Got a good start on another mug.
Next, I did some work on the Poka dots to indent them on this mug. I go back and forth fine tuning until the very end.
Top row is done for now time to move to the bottom.

I've started on the last of the mug designs they chose (8) from my mugs with these 60's flowers. I cut out a flower from my post to make sure I got the shape right.
I did some more spots on this one.

Another mug decorated. In these photos I did the design in a light color so I could see it. Then I painted it in a dark color. St the end I used a lighter color to maintain the 3D effect.

I only took one photo at the end of the purple mug. It's done. Then I worked on the float nets for that mug. All done for this day.

This is going to be the only lady. Tiki Bobbette. She will have eyelashes and a sweet red smile. The other 13 will all be males.
I wasn't happy with the white paint so I covered it over. I hope everyone likes the change.
Besides the Tiki Bob's I need to do the shelves. The faces will go on last.

Another mug is supercarved in this painting on black velvet. It is the wish of Ryan Stowe.
I did this War God bullfighter painting for him 3 years ago. He got on the wish list and soon he'll have 3 of my paintings.
3! Yes on eBay he won this one I did for Jeffrey Konyu as a wish.
When I say wish it's because the wisher tells me what to paint. It's there idea and I try my best to make their wish come true. |

Next up was having Dan sit and look at each tiki mug in the painting to find if any needed tweaking. He found one mug's top that did, and I agreed. He said the top was shaded flat and looked like a statue. So, I rounded it.
Then I asked if I should add a pineapple to another mug since I had made one like that too. That very day I had bought a wooden pineapple to do a painting on.
Next up the shelfs. [ Edited by danlovestikis on 2025-08-01 09:29:13 ] |

Time to work on the eyes. To start I figured out the center and made a tiny dot. Then I used the dot to place the template for the size of the eye and drew it in with a felt pen. The I did two layers of black paint. I may do more. It needs to dry to be able to tell if more is needed.

3rd layer of paint on the eyes. I'm trying to build them up. Then I checked for errors to cover with white paint. This cursed doll showed up on TV and reminded me to put the little white dot on each eyeball when the layers are done.

I'm nearing the end to this wish. Here I've done the Tiki Bob smiles on the bottom row. I'm showing how you can cover up errors with white over black paint. Painting the smiles is like painting fine detail on stucco. The paint brush sometimes pops over a lump and makes a mess. In the end they each get done.

Time to do the next wish. |

Not really done until it ships. I checked the vintage frame from my collection that was picked for this painting and found it had some scrapes. I got out the paint and mixed it to match and covered them up.
Once it's dry I will frame the painting. |

The end of the Tiki Bob wish for Ryan Stowe comes to a happy ending. I cleaned the painting of dust using painters tape. The I secured it in the frame. I wrapped it in tissue to keep dust off of it. I added 2 types of hangers to the back and put it in a box. The happy couple, Dan and I, took the box to the car and off to the box store. Shipped. Another wish completed!

Hey there. I retired from the production of ceramics. Then a few years ago I hooked up with Frankoma through a friend of the owner. He asked me to sculpt for them. We did this mug and since then I've sculpted 4 more of their requests. The For anyone wanting a mug just call Dennis. He'll make sure you are taken care of as soon as possible. I picked out a new color today and he went to purchase it at his glaze store. Dennis Glascock Cell phone: 918-914-1277 This is the first mug I made with him. Based on the salt and peppers by Joniece Frank but I sculpted it in mug size. He has some for sale in various colors right now. These were made in only 25 for each color. |

It's time for me to share pictures of them working on their mug. ============================= On 7/31/24 I shipped the sculpt of the War God to Frankoma Pottery Company.
When their mold maker was available they made four molds along with a master mold. Here are the photos that Dennis sent to me once they had them ready.
