It is shown in Tiki Quest on page 45 and is attributed to OMC; hope that helps. |

Nice finds! I found two spears that look similar to the one at the bottom at a local Sally Ann, but I don't think mine screw apart...I'll have to have a closer look! |

Not the best pics but I found this strange 12 inch tiki with a sour face on one side and a sh*t eating grin on the other. It looks like it has the sense of humor of a hip original but the base has a big carved mushroom on it. Could this be the missing link from tiki to hippie?

Awesome find, Pakelika! I had a pretty good day garage-saling, as far as paper items go. I found a mint copy of the Better Homes & Gardens Guide to Entertaining: Then I found this small photo of an unknown tiki pool hut in a design brochure from the 1960s: And an ad for the Half Moon Inn in an old Westways magazine: But best of all was looking through a September 1968 copy of PSA Journal (Photographic Society of America), and finding this old photo of Barney West's tikis at the Tiki Junction in Sausalito, CA: Oh. And I found this vintage hula doll too for a quarter: Sabu |

Great haul, Sabu -- LOVE the "Guide to Entertaining" .... that cover photo is so fantastic, I wish I could step inside it ... I think I have a modified edition of that book, as it has the same photo of Victor & also recipes for a luau ... Good work! |

congatiki asked:
I saw one go for eighty-something dollars on ebay not too long ago, and it's a great thing to look at on your wall, so I'd be pretty happy if I were you. |

Just found a little puffer today at the thrift shop. It's about 5" in diameter and most of it's spines have been broken off. Each spine is sort of t-shaped on the body. I've never seeon one like it. Unfortunately, it's not empty and smells disgusting. Has anyone ever had to clean out something like this? |

On my way back from Florida, I had time and stopped at several antique malls to make a bad trip a little better. I got a few goodies and had to leave a couple for high prices or no price. I also got a couple of cool Derek Hukilau 2004 mugs... The Swank Pad Broadcast - If it's Swank... [ Edited by: Swanky 2006-03-07 16:33 ] |

I just returned the stinky little puffer I found last week, for one of these. Glad to finally have one! He says PMP with a copywright symbol on the bottom. [ Edited by: Tikiwahine on 2004-10-06 14:42 ] |
