Thanks. I thought it was a tiki (the bird, especially, looked to be of South Seas design), but knowing what kind of tiki is nifty! |

The name Flygrestaurangen: Flyg means airplanes and airtraffic (related to english "fly"). Flygrestaurangen is airtraffic restaurant. |

I ran the words on the matchbook (Den enda och första polynesiska cocktailbaren i Stockholm) through an online translator and the result was "The only and first Polynesian cocktail bar in Stockholm" Not sure how much of a help this is to anyone, but I didn't see it posted before, so there's the translation :) |

Even though I post a lot of finds I really don't have much of a collection compared to some of you hoarders  So I have decided along with my 1 a day find you will also get a little poem. I don't mind I cant tell a lie (thats the best you get at 11:00pm!) |

Well after a long dry spell I made out pretty good. I went to a few ports o' call that I let re-seed for a while and found a Jard Hawaii Kai mug with the OMC sticker intact and some mini mugs and my wife found the OOH bowl. Then I found these BIG Frank Schirman plaques dated 1968. These are super detailed. Not a bad day in Michigan. The bill is for size comparison. |

Im new to the whole tiki collecting thing, and today was my first trip out with the specific mission of finding tiki. I went to 2 different indoor flea markets and 2 Goodwill stores. All I brought home was this 10 inch Ku tiki and the Tattan plant hanger that Ill use for something in the bar..I found no tiki mugs or barware :( |

I have to admit that the past couple of weeks have been "beddy beddy good to me" (to quote an old line). Two weeks ago I found a Mai Kai Rum Barrel (non-Tiki Farm) for $1 at a local thrift store, and two days ago I found two mugs for $12 at an antique store not far away. I love it when antique stores get snooty and have no idea what they are selling! |

I am from Tampa and hit about ...hmm..well I would say 20 places when I home in July and got skunked at all of them. I could not wait to get home to California! Glad you find stuff Tam Tiki--no matter how slow between finds its better than nothing. (There are some other people from the area as members on here btw in case you were ever interested in meeting other folks from online in person.) |

Yes the pickings here on the other "west coast" are a bit slim at times. But as long as I'm rummaging through thrift stores my wife doesn't have to worry about me :) |

I just got these three Orchids of Hawaii orange Hula Girl mugs. The unusual part is that they have raised lettering for Knobby's Mai Tai on the back. Anybody ever heard of this place or seen these before? DC |

My most recent finds over the past month. About as exciting as watching lizards fall out of the trees from our recent cold spell, but I find posting the picture to be therapeutic. From left to right in order of least craptacular; A) Orchids of Hawaii Surfer Girl |

"as exciting as watching lizards fall out of the trees from our recent cold spell" really? that sounds awesome and a lot more exciting then hanging out in the plague house (everyones sick except me). It really sounds a lot more exciting then a lot of things, I would love to see/watch that! |
