Sorry no scanner... The 4 newspapers were left on the doorsteps of each cabin ( I believe) and have info on the ship, things to know when traveling, info on the arrival and dos and donts Then there is also an arrival paper that lays out the events for the day of their arrival to Honolulu. 1 letter from the Captain thanks the passengers for choosing Matson Lines and explains all about their voyage home and the food and parties that will go on. The papers open once and are appx 12" by 9" Pretty freakin' cool ! |

Great week for me tiki collecting in Atlanta. Nice mug swap with a fellow TCer for this guy,. Super pleasant lunch talking tiki. AND a 6 piece set of 3 strand pretzel rattan furniture in fair to very good condition for a paltry $150, pre-sanded and almost ready for staining.
Moving the furniture in is another kick in the arse needed to go from "cinder block room full of tiki collections and a bar" to "built out bar" which will be fun too. |

Always jealous of a DTB-good score! Bongo - that explains the tags I found that said "If found please return to BB in IN" Silverline the black one is by Imperial Imports stamped 1991-so not super old but pretty tall.

@ Leleliz, Frigging awesome O_O score there gotta be 40 mugs etc there, Nothing like that in Australia at all eva holy bat guano's,, Here is my humble haul for the last week, nice big and heavy fertility tiki, a png fishing tool and axe, a set of 6 fiji place mats , a Hawaii mug , Hawaiian club badge #2 and my best score was the Kon Tiki brochure thingy for the opening of the real kon tiki exhibition / museum in oslo Norway. So i am still super stoked, also picked up 2 x vintage 12 inch glass floats for the pergola and will probably go back tommorrow to get a 3rd.. |

These are the mugs I've found so far this summer. I've only been collecting a short time, so I'm very happy with these, although I know none of them are particularly rare or special. I found them all at one particular thrift store in the area and they were all $2, except the salt shaker and the Malibu Moai, which were $0.59 each. I couldn't find the matching pepper shaker, so I just brought home the salt shaker. Any idea what it is? It looks like a monkey to me?! Also found the beautiful 2 tier table for $15 yesterday. Any idea what it is either, or who made it? Or how I can find another or 2? Mahalo! -Jones All of my tiki finds: Close up of the monkey shaker lol: The table: I've also found my share of "tiki" furniture and hawaiian shirts, maybe I'll take pictures of them and post them later! A nice collection pennjones! I'm not aquainted with the shaker... it might be something unusual. (Someone else will have info on it.) The dark green Westwood mug in the center of your photo is one of my favorites! I have one and it's sits in a place of honor. |

Here's a few things I found today at the local flea market I also found this combo book and album for $1, that apparently was meant to document ones Hawaiian vacation. it has lots of cool pics . Does anyone know anything about it? Here is the cover and a couple of the inside pages. Then this evening I get a call from a friend. He collects Automobilia, (I do too , but thats a different forum). he attended an auction at an out of business car dealer and bought a few boxes of auto literature and inside was these items, a foreign album from Tahiti and an 18inch souveneer surf board from a 1979 Datsun convention
