The Cobra's Fang mug from Oceanic Arts. Seen it in their case and pretty stoked to have found one. Nice to have a mug with their logo on it.

So... was this the Los Angeles Islander Cobra's Fang mug? There's a thread trying to answer that question:

http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=28577&forum=5

But... it never really answers it. Has anyone ever asked Bob or Leroy for whom this mug was made?

Now where did you find that one? Ebay? Thrift Store? or??? It's one on my top ten want list. Good job!

Not had a Camera handy before, so here are some of the last couple of months finds...

Brass "Anchor" lamp - modern, but will age nicely with a little lacking TLC:

detail:

A couple of netted floats - nice colours, and both having pontil marks:

A pair of battery operated Port and Starboard lights - planning to use these as 'mood' lighting:

A huge (just shy of three feet tall) vintage "Masthead" light - showing a hard life, and in dire need of some attention:

An Antique Turtle Shell (16" top - tail):

A (non)Tiki mask - not sure where it's from, but the shape reminds me of the Kon Tiki mask, and I think it will look great mixed in with my genuine PNG masks:

Bamboo Tiki torches - two for £1 / $1.70 (New) - bought the last four sets they had:

Not often you find a US mug for sale in the UK - but here's one i picked up:

Tiki or not Tiki? Sailfish lamp, made from Horn:

That's all for now...

Been kinda quiet since Vegas. I did work a trade with my buddy for this stuff:

Today, my local hotspot had this waiting for me:

It's missing the quill, but otherwise in perfect condition. Anyone ever seen one like this, before? Being a "crossover" item, (Tiki & Inkwell), it was a bit pricey, but I think it's worth what I paid for it.

I've talked to Bob about this mug before. They used to stock them at OA. They finally ended up marking them down to something like 39 cents a piece just to get rid of them. He never mentioned if it was used at any particular restaurant though.
