Nobody else bid on it probably because it was described as a khaki ashtray. It needed a lot of cleaning since it appeared as though somebody had used it to throw gum away. I'm very happy to now own something from the Kahiki.

OK ,upon further inspection it is thin porcelain, and it seems the little notch in the bottom of the top section,is for a electrical cord to pass through,and the base perfectly holds a 'Dept.56' light,with a metal clip.Snaps right in.
