I saw that listing too but I'm not sure if it's the same one. That listing says it's on page 20 of Tiki Quest and that page shows a chocolate brown one that is uniform in color, like the black version. |

I landed a big fish...this nicely carved Ku is over 5' tall, a solid trunk of wood (heavy as all), and came by way of fellow who said the original owner got it in Ft. Worth. As much as I'd like to think he was once sitting at Ren Clark's Polynesian Village, the style isn't in keeping with what was made for the PV (unless Mr. Clark also dragged a few pieces home from Hawai'i or...) |

brought these 4 back from Honolulu; top lft from “tiki’s Grill” , Waikiki. Bottom lft , bought at La Mariana Sailing Club, Gecko/South Seas Art’s, The clear “mug” is quite common in SoCal cept this one is plastic as used at Duke’s Waikiki. Supposedly, the devil mug was only gonna be available on halloween 2013 put they still had plenny on Nov.. 1. I’m not a huge fan of this type mug but I bought em for sentimental reasons. Btw, the Halloween night street party was beyond words. I’ll be posting pix soon as I get em sorted out. Not sure if they belong in “events” or “general"

As usual, pretty slim pickin's up here behind the Cheddar Curtain, but I did manage to give these two fellas a new home: a Fire Hut mug from Kon-Tiki in Tuscon, which I suspect is not of a particularly ancient vintage, and a Steve Crane Kon-Tiki Ports mug. I almost picked up a blue Libbey Moai mug as well, but the seller wanted far more for it than I was willing to pay, so I passed on that. [ Edited by: MrBaliHai 2013-11-16 09:56 ] |

I always love your finds Buzzy. I know you don't walk into an antique store and buy everything off the shelf and then post like you did lots of work "finding" your items...BUT ..you do pretty good  I like that tray. I just found one in all my stuff I didn't even remember buying . No tag on the back though |

One of my favourite mugs is a little ships captain - its small & probably considered 'non tiki' but I like the nautical theme. I have found quite a few with metallic & red bits but I prefer the all brown glaze. Today I spotted another all brown one like I already had... so I brought it again :) Also, I've not posted a carving find in a while but my maori collection is growing... A few were eBay, most were in the wild - I'm enjoying how they're all different :) |

Nothing old or special. Found these at Home Goods. One is a PNG-ish shield, the other is an outdoor solar light I picked up a couple of years ago. I knew it was destined for the indoors so it stayed in a corner until finally getting a tapa covering over the white plastic diffuser and a light-rope pushed up inside. |

Found the bowl on the right in a thrift yesterday. Detail is much nicer on the other bowl which I bought years ago at the Crowne Plaza during Tiki Oasis. Not vintage-marked “made in China:” For half a buck I’m not complaining. |
