Answering one part of my own question. This guy is LAST CHANCE JOE. Still don't know what was served in it however.

Leleliz was my former name

I have no idea what was served in it either but I have a bunch of these now.

There are also matching salt and pepper shakers in 2 different styles in case you don't have them but you want to hunt for those. One style has long skinny legs and the other style has fat, stumpy ones.

I have both but its easier to show you this image from an Ebay listing :

Even though this mug isn't "tiki" I still like it mainly because it has a good feel when you hold it and they seem to be plentiful around here being not so far from Reno :)

SD: Thanks. I picked up one today for a buck to go with my other Nugget mugs (even though not TIKI). It not only feels good but holds a lot of drink.

A few finds from the past few weeks:

A set and a half of tiki fork and spoon sets. In spite of returning daily to see if the missing fork would show up, it never did.

Jekyll and Hyde club mug. Weird...I wasn't planning on stopping by the GW on that day, but something pulled me in. Tiki sense tingling??

Harvey's Lake Tahoe mug. Even weirder....not only did I "feel" I needed to stop by the GW, but I subconsciously made a bee-line straight to this as I crossed the threshold of the door.

Pair of Nagoya/Hachi-Hatchi handled bamboo mugs. Looked them up on the 'net. Sushi restaurants in Georgia. From what I could see from the 'net, no tiki in the restaurants. Still, they're bamboo mugs....I like 'em. Probably would like 'em more if they didn't have the handles.

Beni Mugs. Not tiki. You all hate them, but the price was right, so I picked 'em up.

Would anyone know the name of this nugget mug and what drink was served in it? The image is from a LELELIZ post in 2009. Thanks LIZ.

i have the same mug but without the cold paint. atomiktiki here on t.c. has the matching decanter which is larger than the mug.

I picked up this carving this past weekend. It appears to be a pregnant woman sitting on a four-legged stool with an iguana on top of her head. I hesitate to say it is African because of the iguana..but where is it from? Would anyone have any knowledge on it? Mahalo.

Hmmmmm.....I was going to say that the iguana would put it square into Central and South America, but I looked iguana up on Wikipedia:

"Iguana (/ɪˈɡwɑːnə/)[1][2] is a genus of herbivorous lizards native to tropical areas of Mexico, Central America, several islands in Polynesia such as Fiji and Tonga, and the Caribbean"

So, there ya go....they are native to Polynesia, so that cleared up.....nothing really.

Asrak, you are certainly right--the logo on the menu is match to the one on both of the ashtrays we have. We found them at an estate along with several other old (non-tiki) NYC restaurant ashtrays. Thanks for sharing the menu--and welcome to Tiki Central!

This guy showed up at the swapmeet a few weeks ago. I figured no one else would know what it was, and the chance of another Solomon islands collector happening by it was rare, so I left it there in hopes that the price would go down a bit. Today it finally devalued enough that I bought it. The seller said " I knew you were going buy it!" And I said, "why, because I'm the only guy who has looked at in the last 6 weeks!" It made his wife chuckle, so I handed her the cash...

Duane, most of these are standard Orchids of Hawaii lamps, so I recommend to look for Chinese Tiki joints from the '70s - 90s:

The most unusual one is the Tapa globe, I've only ever seen one of those when they went into the attic at Damon's. If you see that one hanging next to some of the other, you got it. Or that red signal lamp, that's a singular thing...

In the old Sea & Jungle Imports (4666 San fernando rd, Glendale Ca) Decorative Lighting catalog it is listed as "120-L Tapa Ball Hanging Light"

It's funny that they never hung them up. They're not some kind of crystal ball to stare at! :)

Here in Colorado there's a remarkable dearth of tiki. I'm excited if I find so much as a Harvey's bucket mug when I'm out thrifting. I went to a flea market yesterday and at one stall I found a postcard for The Warehouse in Marina Del Rey. Better than nothing. I continue wandering around the flea market. At another stall at the other end, what do I come across but a Warehouse barrel mug! Neither of them is a particularly exciting find (I'd only say it's tiki because they apparently have tiki torches out front), but the coincidence made it exciting for me.
