On the edge of tiki - paint-by-numbers tropic scene ($1, had to throw out glass frame as it was moldy!) Outer edge of tiki - Hot Wheels car - A little off the tiki radar (should be in the 'drinks & food' area, I s'pose; BUT has recipes calling for rum - not many in those days, comparatively) -

TikiRoyale... Don't know anyone really on the T.C. I haven't been around that long. Always interested in meeting new people and getting/giving new ideas. I cruise the S.A. looking for tiki and now my compulsion is so deep I have begun pointing out Tiki to my wife and children. In movies, magazines, grocery stores ahhhg! |

Cool. I've found that exact same paint-by-numbers, Twitch. It's definitely going in the home tiki bar (whenever it's built). |

What is this creature? It looks Indonesian to me. Should have taken the picture from the other side. There is a red thread "earring" hanging from a nail in his left ear. It's the same thread that you see in the pic. There is metal that is tapped and pinned to his face also. Signature? I ain't signin nothin! [ Edited by: Mr. NoNaMe 2007-09-02 20:34 ] |

Psycho, That circle "I" looks like a University of Illinois emblem. I have seen a lot of those brown droopy mugs with college-related labeling. My guess is that these mugs were sold as custom-printed promotional items - the one I have was apparently printed up for an island-themed fraternity party. |

I had a field day at the local flea market this weekend. I struck tiki gold. I got everything for $55. |

My first thought was Samoan, but I am invariably wrong about these things. |

You are correct. This design is used by a few promotional imprinting companies for anyone who can afford it. I was looking into making a few, but the lowest quantity is something like 72. I don't know that many people who would want one of those. But here's a link to the site: http://www.promotionalproducts.net/drinkware_tiki.htm |
